1849년 Bedford College로 최초 설립된 Royal Holloway, University of London는 1985년 Bedford College와 Royal Holloway College와 합병되어 Surrey 지역에 설립되었다. 

"To be, rather than to seen (to be)"라는 모토아래 설립된 본교는, Undergraduate 및 Post Graduate 학위 취득을 위한 교과과정이 설계되어 있다. 

또한, 2015년도 The Complete University Guide에 따르면, 3 전공 (Drama, Dance & Cinematics, Marketing, Music)이 각 전공 분야 내에서 영국 내 Top10 내에 랭크되는 명성을 얻었다.

Specific requirements for the application may vary, depending on the school or department you are applying to, however most will require a brief research proposal that should be submitted along with the online application form.
