Location
The university is located in Geneva at the heart of Europe, a hub for numerous international organizations, non-governmental organizations and multinational companies and the centre for dialogue on important current global issues. Geneva’s central location allows for easy travel (one hour by air) to major European cities such as London, Paris, Brussels and Milan.
Dynamic learning environment, combining theory and practice
Students at IUG receive an education which combines theoretical instruction with practical experience. Professors bring extensive knowledge both from the academic world and from work experience in the public and private sectors.
Global education
The International University in Geneva specializes in degrees linked to business to help prepare students for successful careers in areas such as marketing, finance, human resources, international relations, communications and computer science.
Students have gone onto work in the banking, advertising, luxury, pharmaceutical and medical sectors as well as international organisations and non governmental organizations. Many go onto run their family businesses.
Small classes with individual attention
The IUG ensures that classes are limited to a maximum of 30 students. Therefore, students are able to benefit from an interactive lesson with direct feedback from the Professors.
International exchange program
The International University in Geneva has established a newtwork, developing a unique exchange programs with over 20 leading academic institutions worlwide. The program provides opportunities for students from universities within the IUG network in Europe, USA, Central and South America, Asia and the Middle East, to spend one semester at IUG and be credited at their instituion. It also allows IUG students to spend one semester at another University and receive credit at IUG. With some universities, students may obtain a dual degree with IUG.
Global network
Through the multinational student body and faculty, students graduating from the IUG have a lifelong link, through alumni, to a global network of professionals in the public and private sectors.
Employment opportunities
Student benefit from the IUG's extensive international network in the public and private sectors. Through the faculty and the career counseling, the IUG has acquired a vast network of contacts and a solid reputation in the international sector. Many students have received internships at international organizations or in the private sector.
In addition, the IUG has an excellent graduate employment record. IUG's academic degree courses provide graduates with transferable skills, as well as in-depth knowledge and experience in their chosen subject.
Social events
The IUG organises various social events such as excursions to cities throughout Europe, ski holidays in Switzerland and beyond, as well as regular barbeques and evening events for students, and trips to other Universities as part of our vast exchange program with leading Universities.

Undergraduate Admissions
The Undergraduate programs have three starting dates: September, January and April
The University welcomes applications from students who have successfully completed a secondary education at an accredited institution with a minimum grade point average of 2.5. All applicants should demonstrate that they have the maturity and personal skills to cope with university level education.

Admission requirements:
Students applying to the IUG undergraduate programs must provide the following:
A completed application form with an essay (200 to 300 words on one of the following topics:
- Describe your biggest achievement in any aspect of your life and the reasons for this success.
- Select a current issue of national or international importance which you think will have an impact on society. Explain why.
A certified copy of a secondary school diploma in English
Certified High School transcripts in English for the last 3 years
A minimum score of 80 (Internet based test) or 213 (computer based test) on the TOEFL test or another equivalent English proficiency test (IELTS or CAE from Cambridge). To submit the TOEFL test score to the International University in Geneva (IUG), please enter IUG's institutional code number (0130) when you take the test.

A non-refundable application fee payable in Swiss Francs CHF 150.- / Euros €120.-, or US Dollars USD 140.-
